Writer's block.
That means the writer have absolutely nothing to write about. In my case, it's blogger's block. I WAS suffering from it a moment ago. And then something struck me. I'ii just blog about 'blogger's block'.
When a blogger suffers from a 'block', there are a few things they might do.
1) Force themselves to blog something. And this often end up to be some lame entries.
2) Keep a constant lookout for interesting stuff. That is meaningless man. Go get a life!
3) Don't blog. Having just a weekly or even monthly entry. Resulting in your good friends screaming "Update leh". =p
I used to force myself to blog something out no matter what. End result: Some lame and silly entries which cause me to apologise profusely for making my friends going through the torture of reading.
Nope, not anymore. I'ii only blog when there is a need to. In addition, my blog aint frequently visited by readers as compared to XiaXue, hence, i am not accountable to them. Speaking of XiaXue, i have absolutely no idea how she managed to handle her blog fans. Seriously, i cant do it. I do read her articles every now and then. And i am amazed by the number of readers that left comments on her entries. I've read one entry which have 108 comments posted, both from her friends and strangers.
Well, that's the price of fame. But fame does subject a blogger to having fans and enemies. Usually, i am pretty neutral on such issues. I know of friends being loved by so many readers but on the other hand, receiving hate-tags and mails. That's life isn't it?
I was having a phone chat with a friend 2 nites ago. We were on the topic of blogging.
Well, this dude is prolly the FIRST male to tell me that he simply can't tolerate girls who put their barely-clothed pics online. Usually, i have guy friends telling me of their constant visits to blogs which have such pics. And again, i am neutral to this. I dont hold it against or stereotype people who put such pics. Cause i believe, we are all adults and should bear any consequences that occur.
And nope, you wont see me putting pics like those mentioned above on my bloggy. Cause,
1) I don have a good bod. People who knows me usually sees me on the chubbier side.
2) No courage to post.
3) Wont do that. Comes from a pretty conservative family.
4) I don wan the traffic.
Speaking of traffic , of course i do appreciate people reading my entries. And i certainly appreciate even more when my friends leave a comment or tag me. No doubt the number of comments and tags left behind are few, there is one consolation. People who comment are usually my friends or rather, people i knew personally. Yes, i prefer quality over quantity.
And i aint looking for fame in blogging. The blogging scene belongs to XiaXue. I wont want to be known as Madeline, the famous blogger. Prolly this might sound a little silly. But i rather be known as Madeline, the Programming Queen, or Maddie the World Biggest Animal Lover or prolly even, Maddie, the Psychotic Counsellor.
I donno. Just wanna be different. =)
